QUOTE (Masa @ April 27, 2007 11:01 pm)
As you surmised, Mr Super Clear is intended to be a final coat. You need to try Mr. Top Coat, especially with acrylic paints as Mr. Super Clear is solvent based and tends to be too agressive. Mr Top Coat works great with their aqueous water-soluable paint line and should work great for your in-between sealing coats smile.gif

Thanks Masaaki,

I learn something everyday.....sometimes the hard way.

The torso was stripped, re-primed, re-painted. I hope this is the last time around, at least for this kit.

Painted the outfit and gloss coated it with Tamiya clear, this is how the kit looks at this point. It has not been an easy trail. I guess being out of practice is one thing, the other "excuse" would be the lack of doggone time I have to do these things. Anyway, I hope to finish a bit more soon.

Here are the body parts that are finished to this point. The shoes were hand painted and made to look slightly worn. I knocked back the gloss a bit to not make the kit look too mannequin-like.

Here is the face. I still need to paint the hair and tail. I may send her in sub-assemblies to avoid breakage.

The "finished" product is shown below. It will be shipped in parts as seen. With the rough handling of items in the postal system, I do not think a fully assembled one will survive the trek to New Zealand.
